Jana Holcová

Born 21.04.1975

Jana Holcová studied acting at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre. She graduated in 1999 as a student of the class that became a new ensemble of Dejvické divadlo. Earlier she appeared as a guest in National Theatre, in Divadlo v Dlouhé and Divadlo Na Zábradlí theatres. Her first role in Dejvické divadlo was Smeraldina in a comedy Green Bird (directed by Zdeněk Dušek), yet her first great dramatic opportunity came with the leading role in a dramatization of G. G. Márquez’s novella The Incredible and Sad Tale of Innocent Eréndira and her Heartless Grandmother (dramatization and direction by Miroslav Krobot).
