The Servants is a new work inspired by the texts of 18th century playwright Pierre de Marivaux, that explores power relations, and moral responsibility within hierarchical systems. A performance about the profound difficulty of change. A comedy about the cruel controlling force of comedies and stories. Through a contemporary theatrical language, the production examines mechanisms of obedience and individual agency within structures of authority.
