The aging literary giant Prétextat Tach knows he has only a few weeks left to live. Over the course of a single day, a battle of wits unfolds between the two, shifting roles, motivations, and boundaries of power. This adaptation of Amélie Nothomb’s novel explores the passion for absolute truth, the complex forms of love, and the ways we can hide behind words—or let them reveal everything.
