Lukáš Průdek graduated from the Department of Production at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) in 2006. While still studying he worked, among other things, as a producer of Damúza studio and as production manager and secretary of artistic operations of the Nablízko Theatre.
For nine years (2005–2014) he worked at the Dejvice Theatre as head of marketing and production and at the end of his tenure also as deputy director.
From 2014 to 2023 he was the director of the South Bohemian Theatre (Jihočeské divadlo) in České Budějovice, which comprises drama, opera, ballet, theatre for children and young audiences and the Atelier 3D educational centre. The South Bohemian Theatre operates the Rotating Auditorium in Český Krumlov – the most visited open-air theatre in the Czech Republic.
In 2009–2011 he completed the Summer International Fellowship in Arts Management at the DeVos Institute at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
He is the committee Vice-Chairman of the Association of Professional Theatres in the Czech Republic.
