Martin Myšička studied acting at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (1995) and subnuclear physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. Already during his studies, he performed in National Theatre or Studio Ypsilon. In 1994, he was awarded the Alfred Radok Award for the role of Prince Myshkin in The Idiot, a production directed by Ondřej Zajíc. His first role in Dejvické divadlo was in Miroslav Krobot’s production The Soothing Method in 1997. Since then has been a member of DD’s ensemble. His directorial debut is a production based on Joe Penhall’s play Landscape with Weapon in 2009.
He became the artistic director of Dejvické divadlo on January 1, 2017.
