Simona Babčáková

Born 21. 2. 1973

Simona Babčáková graduated from the Art School in Zlín and attended improvisation classes with Jaroslav Dušek. After working with Městské divadlo in Zlín and Divadlo v Dlouhé in Prague, she gave some notable performances in productions of Klicperovo divadlo in Hradec Králové (e. g. Viola in Twelfth Night, Mephisto in Faust or Natasha in Three Sisters). She was nominated for the Alfred Radok Award for Best actress and Talent of the year. From 2002 to 2023 she was a permanent member of the DD acting ensemble.
Apart from her roles in Dejvické divadlo's productions, her improvised performances Second sekec or Simona Babčáková's Laboratory with various guests are worth mentioning. Improvisation is one of her main activities outside of Dejvické divadlo as well.
